Damn you Cassio!

Oh, what a treacherous storm we had to pass through to make it to Cyprus, I thought we would drown in our attempt. Luckily we made it to land and Desdemona was safe, and that is all that is important. Though I do wish Cassio had never made it through the storm, since Iago showed me how much he loves Desdemona. The way he talks to her and kisses her nauseates me and I can hardly bear it, to think that she loves him is too much. I cannot accept that she loves two men instead of me. Her husband kisses her too and I cannot watch it for I wish it were me who could kiss her. Iago is very perceptive to have seen that Cassio does love her very much; I am glad he is my friend and will work to end their relationship for my benefit. I am lucky to have Iago working with me for he knows everything about Cassio. He knows that Cassio is "rash and very sudden in choler and

haply may strike at" (2.1. 262-263) me. All that I had to do was taunt him with the fact that I could do a better job than him. Oh, it didn’t take much time at all; he must have been really drunk. We used his inability to drink to our advantage and though I was injured, and I wanted to go home, Iago convinced me to stay, telling me that I must have patience for what will occur next. He promises me that since Cassio is dismissed our plan is now in motion and will work out just the way Iago imagined it will.
